Sometimes things happen that you can't control. Take today, for instance. I had a fantastic time at the zoo with Henrik and Elissa—lions, monkeys, ice cream, sunshine... everything a girl could want. I filled up an entire roll of film with photos of our day. They were awesome.

When I went to pick them up, I was told the machine had broken while processing my film and had exposed it all.

So, not everything can always go your way. I looked through the pictures anyways and thought, though they were destroyed, that there was something interesting to them. Here are the ones that could be salvaged. :) Take what you can get, right? There's something to be said about imperfection. Sometimes the things that are out of your control work out in beautiful ways you didn't expect.

What do you guys do when something gets ruined/doesn't turn out the way you'd hoped? (Clothes, food, photographs, etc.) Any salvaging tricks?

Ps. I know I've been gone a while—adjusting to work again after my medical leave has been difficult in terms of finding time (or energy) to pursue my hobbies. Please forgive me as I readjust and figure out my rhythm again! :)

  1. Wow, they're actually kind of completely incredible. You managed to get the same kind of effect from a "broken" roll of film that a lot of professionals would spend hours trying to achieve. awesome :)

  2. I think they turned out really cool! But its such a bummer when stuff like that happens. I love the mask picture and your pretty lace collar dress!

  3. looks like a beautiful mistake to me!

Comments make my day⎯really! I love reading what you have to say. Hope to hear from you. :)
